This past weekend we headed up to Snowflake for the Pioneer Day Celebrations. First stop...we were off to the races. Here Devyn is during her race and as you can tell from her face she wasn't feeling it! It's too bad, because she is such a fast runner and would have smoked the other 3yr olds! Then to top it off she gets a laffy taffy for participation, she hates laffy taffy! Good thing mom had a ring pop in her bag to make it all better!!
After the races we headed over to the parade where everyone got these cool glasses!!

Devyn scored in the candy department!! She was so excited each time she came back with handfuls! It was a good thing too, because Beau was tired and skipping his morning nap and the dum dum sucker was just the fix! After the parade we went to my uncle Jeff's for the traditional chili beans and homemade bread (grandma Hunt's recipe) and the best part...Uncle Jeff's homemade ICE CREAM in 7 different flavors for dessert!!!! He makes the best homemade ice cream EVER!!
After all the Pioneer Day celebrations we drove back to Heber where we were staying and let the kids run through the sprinklers to cool off!
Later that evening we got a hail/rain storm!! These are so fun when they roll in! The kids had a great time getting pelted!
We had so much fun and we can't wait until next year when we can go back for SMORE!!!

As always looks like a fantastic "cooler" getaway! I might have to start going to pioneer days again, looks like Devyn had a blast!
