Beauty & the Beast

Devyn dressed up as a princess,
We headed down to San Tan Village,
stood in line for over an hour,
got a free ticket for beauty & the beast at gammage!

She got her face painted,

She even won a prize by spinning the wheel!
(a Bell doll)

story time at the Disney store

We started of the big night with dinner at IHOP,
it just happened to be right across from gammage.

We all got dressed up for the big night,
and that's about all we did!
After finishing dinner, we head towards a parking garage I found online that validates and has a shuttle that takes you to the theater. Awesome!
After parking, walking out, talking to the attendant, he told us that the shuttle was a few blocks away. So we decide to hop into one car (we had driven separately) and park closer to the shuttle pick up. As we exit the garage we find out that this garage no longer validates for gammage! ugg! So I get out, walk down into the garage for the 2nd time to get my car out. We did not want to pay for parking! Hello, that's why I looked it up!! So, onto finding the next parking garage that is by the shuttle. It ended up being just a parking lot, and the guy was so cool, even though this one didnt validate either, he let us park for free! As we park the shuttle comes by, now we have to wait about 15 minutes until the next one! At this point the play is starting! we were bummed! 15 long minutes go by and the shuttle picks us up, we are on our way, or so we thought! stop after stop and then they take us to the little shuttle station were we are told to jump on another that will take us to gammage. we wait some more. A few minutes later, our shuttle, yeah! We get on, the driver gets off! wondering whats going on we ask a "regular" who rides these shuttles all the time. She tells us that when they get to the station, the driver takes a 10 to 15 min. break! what?! so we wait even more. Finally we make it to the theatre! Only 45 minutes late! Devyn and I enter first, find our seats in the dark, kylee and Ashton are right behind us, well, they should have been. As we entered the theatre the Beast was on stage, you know the part where Bell begs for him to let her father go and she is made a prisoner. Well, Ash was freaked and wouldnt even come in! She and kylee watched on the flat screen in the hall. Devyn was so worried about where they were that she couldn't even focus very long on the play. So we joined them in the hall and tried to help kylee talk ash into going in. Not happening! They decided that they were going to go home, and with all we went through with the shuttle we were all a little scared to do it alone, so we opted to leave too. So, after being 45 minutes late and seeing about 15 minutes of the play we called it a night! Maybe we could try it again in a few years! As far as the girls were concerned, it was an awesome night, they loved the free shuttle rides!!
